WIP Wednesday

Just a quick WIP update today.  My boy is not feeling good so not only do I not have a lot to share, but I don't really have the energy to write this post (we were up all night!).  So here it goes!

Virtually the only sewing I got this week was for the Scrappy Stash QAL at Ellison Lane Quilts.  That and at some point I finished the Threadbias pincushion for swap.  I completely re-did it because I didn't like how the hexagon one turned out.  No pics because I wanted this to be a surprise.

Here are the pics from after I finished the purple blocks.  If you remember last week, I didn't have any pics to show:

Yesterday, my kid slept for a nice long time, so I finished all the aqua blocks and all the darker blue blocks.  Too bad I didn't do any housekeeping during that opportunity...the house is not looking its best right now.  :)

So I'm done with block construction, now on to layout options.  I had originally thought I'd just sash them with thick white strips.  But I had this vision while I was sewing the blocks and now I want them sashed, but also set wonky.  I think that will look really cool!  I was going to make a little mock up for it, but I ran out of time before I needed to get this post written.  Maybe I'll add one in later!

So that's it for my WIPs.  But don't forget that tickets go on sale for Sew South today!  I'm getting mine, how about you?

  2. I love all your colourful blocks. Hoping your little guy is on the mend soon and that you can all catch up on some rest.

  4. Oooh, your blocks are turning out sooooo pretty. Now I wish I was going to Sew South just to meet you! I couldn't go because of some other plans. Bummer.

I'm so excited that you've decided to join the discussion! I think what you have to say is so interesting and it's valuable to share our thoughts with everyone. I'll reply here on the blog so please check back and keep the conversation going.
