WIP Wednesday

Work in Progress Wednesday!  Let's take a look at what I've got going on:

This is the fabric that was picked out for the commissioned baby blankets.  The blue and brown will be a wholecloth quilt.

The grey and yellow one is like the ruffle one I showed y'all before, but without the ruffle.  No quilting.

I pulled this old WIP out of the drawer to finish up and donate as a part of 100 Quilts for Kids, (Swim, Bike, Quilt).  The top is done.  I just need to get to the store for some batting, then it's quilt sandwich time.  And I need to look into where to donate it.  The fabric is Nature's Chorus by April Cornell for Moda.

Some simple valances for my kitchen windows.  I made some cafe curtains months ago for the little window over the sink.  I was supposed to finish these two valances at the same time, but you know how that is.  Plus the store was all out of matching cafe rods and clips so I wasn't sure how to finish the tops (with a rod pocket or not?) until I knew what rod I was using.  Thankfully another store had the hardware I needed so the project can go on as planned.

I am behind on my Jack Attack Block for Lynne's QAL over at Lily's Quilts.  I'm not really that far behind, as I'm only making one Jack.  So really I just have to make one more block.  Fabric is Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane.

My Halloween quilt top is done.  I have the fabric for the back but I need to piece it still.  Then it will be waiting with the Nature's Chorus quilt for me to get some batting.

Finally we have the little string star.  Just need to grab a batting scrap from the drawer and quilt it up.  Oh, and make a hanging sleeve (also need to do that for the Texas Mini!)

I am also working on a great needlepoint project, but it is a gift, so y'all won't see it for months.  I can't wait to share it though, because I am having so much fun working on it.

What are you working on?  Do you have a pile as big as mine (or bigger)?

  1. Blue and yellow are so fun together. I love that, even though I'm really not a "blue" person. Your little spider is adorable. :)

  11. Yes, The List is longer. And just when I feel like I've accomplished something, I decide to add something else to The List!!

I love the yellow and gray together. Those are the colors I used for my quilt along I led this summer. (actually, last block will be this Friday!)

The string star is awesome ... second one I've seen this week and now I'm trying to remember who posted the first.
