Hey y'all! It’s Wednesday and you know what that means!
If you’re joining me from Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday: Welcome! Feel free to look around a bit. You can see my recent finishes here. If you like what you see, I’d love to invite you to join in the fun on a regular basis. You can keep up with what I’m up to by subscribing via the RSS feed button, via the join button, or via e-mail. You can follow me on Pinterest, Flickr, and Instagram too. All of these links are available on the right sidebar --> There’s also a fun button I designed just for you. :)
First off, I am proud to say I am FINISHED with the Scrappy Stash quilt, which I have named Rainbow Boxes. It turned out so nicely and you can read more about it here.
Unfortunately, this will be the only photo, because all of the other things I'm working on this week are gifts for people that read this blog. Don't want to spoil the surprises!
But I can say that I'm knocking out things on my to do list, and that makes me very happy. I've crossed off two of the six mandatory things, and knocked out a huge chunk of one other mandatory thing.
Almost all of the supplies I've ordered for making Christmas gifts have come in. Just waiting on some hardware, and I will also need to order more zippers. But now that the Rainbow Boxes quilt is complete, I feel like I can devote more time to the Christmas gifts. I have all the fabric cut for a dozen little gifts, and they're partially assembled. I can start cutting fabric for another batch of (different) gifts. But both will have to wait until all the hardware and zippers arrive.
I'd like to start drafting a new coloring kit idea I have. It's all in my head right now, but I want to get it out on paper and make a sample with lots of photos because I'd like to write a tutorial for it. That is something I'd like to start on right away because I want to have a tutorial up in time to be useful for the holidays for either gifting or travel!
Lastly, I joined the Modern Scrappy Bits swap on Flickr a while back and sign ups for round two are open until tomorrow. I really wanted to get in on this last time but I wasn't quick enough. So this time I jumped in. I'm aware that it has added another thing to my list, even though I said I wouldn't add new projects this year. But it should be quick and painless and will probably be a welcome break from monotonous sewing of the same thing over and over.
Okay, that's all for now. Sorry for the lack of photos! Check out my Rainbow Boxes post if you'd like to see TONS of quilty eye candy (lots of pics there!).
Linking up at Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday.
You should come dig through mom's zipper "warehouse" before you order :P
