Mini Quilt Swap

Paper Pieced Tulip Mini Quilt | Doodle Do Designs

Make a quilt, make a friend.

schniztel & boo Mini Quilt Swap, round 1

Kristi from Schnitzel and Boo started this mini quilt swap on Instagram recently, and it got BIG!  There are over 160 people participating.  That is insane!

I really hope my partner likes what I made.  They have been very quiet, so I have not been able to get any feedback to guide me as to whether they will like this quilt or not.  Now to find some little goodies that I think they will like to include in the package, and then it is off to happy mail land.

Tulip Block

Something fun for me related to this quilt - the paper pieced tulip made it to Flickr's Explore page!  It was my second time being featured, both times a paper pieced project.  It sure was exhilarating to receive so many sweet comments.  I like to think that my little quilt block maybe have turned some new people onto quilting!  Haha.

Mini Quilt Swap mosaic
1. Handmade Gifts, 2. Finished the quilting! Now to bind and send it on its way!! #downtothewire #kaleidoscope #pillowtalkswap, 3. stamp collection, 4. Yummy finished quilt, 5. Pretty Triangles, 6. twinkle { a finish}

Here is the mosaic I made to guide my other secret partner.  I was feeling like something scrappy and vintage-looking.  I am so excited to see what comes in the mail, and to "meet" the new friend I will have.

You can check out the other quilts being made on the Flickr group or with the hashtags #schnitzelandboominiquiltswap and #makeaquiltmakeafriend.
